Didn't have a loupe yet, but wanted to go with an affordable one. This one is very nice for the price, and it's nice it comes with the case, so I can really make sure I keep the dust away from the lens. Haven't used it in the field yet, but it's been great to examine small areas of detail in the fossils I prep. Also very useful to spot remaining matrix when I'm cleaning small stuff.
